Find Your MS Cure – Advice – Eight Months After Being Cured Of ...

I had been out running around on business and pleasure all day. A pretty blond that I had initiated contact with via an online dating site ~ in the wee hours last night had responded ~ but only to ask me how I had been cured of MS (Multiple Sclerosis).

This article is the result of my reply to her.

I see that you have sent me two e-mails on behalf of your MS friends.

I could spend the next 3-hours attempting to explain how I was cured of MS ~ and not give you the quick answer that your friends with Multiple Sclerosis are likely looking for. So perhaps it is time to write and publish an ezine article which others may benefit by reading as well?

If you send me your regular e-mail address to Rascal.Miles@gmail, I will send you a link to the article when it is published. LOL It will probably be very much like you will be reading below. I think I will submit this one as “Find Your MS Cure – Advice – Eight Months After Being Cured Of Incurable MS (Multiple Sclerosis)”

Thank you for forcing me to do this. OK, Sweet Lady ~ here goes…

After a couple of years of denial ~ and finally accepting the MS diagnosis ~ when I couldn’t walk at all, I had to face the facts. YEAH, I HAD MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS.

One morning, I when I went to get up, I found myself with my face on the floor by my bed. I had to crawl on my stomach to the bathroom. That was the beginning of my getting cured. “Acceptance!”

A next step was ~ for me ~ was to “Accept” the traditional MDs diagnosis only! I thank God that I didn’t however believe them that there was no cure. I never gave up “Hope”!

My 53-years on his planet had thankfully led me into the “Word of God”.

(NKJV) Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Ultimately, this would be “The Good News”. The end result is my being cured of MS 8-months ago. LOL (Laugh Out Loud).

Some of us “Hard Heads” must endure much before we are in the “Spiritual” condition to receive our "Physical" healings or cures. I certainly did. Total Incontinence was the most humiliating. I was using 20-25 disposable diapers each day. My Incontinence was cured instantly in mid-May. No, I did not “Feel” any differently at that time. Rather, I just knew. “Praise The Lord!”

The worst mistake that I made ~ on my path to renewed health ~ was to take “Traditional medicine’s” advice and start administrating their damaging drugs. It was after 4-months of giving myself shots ~ that I found myself on the floor. For the 1st time, I was in a wheelchair.

Against my neurologist’s warnings I quit doing Avonex, and refused numerous other physician offers of similar “Injectable drug companies wallet-warmers,” to whom “Traditional medicine” and the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has Long–since Sold Out. Within 3-weeks I COULD AGAIN WALK. I continued to be able to ambulate for the next 4-years.

Why did I stop using the prescription drugs, you might ask?

The answer is that they are only “Thought to delay the progression of MS by up to 50%.”

I began listening to my own body, to God, and to the thousands of other on-line MSers ~ all of whom were seeking solutions to their own many Multiple Sclerosis challenges ~ via MS support and other specific disabilities interest groups.

I would encourage your 2 MS friends to do likewise.

I believe that a benevolent Father God knows how to help His children to solve their health problems. As a “Good Father”, He deals with each of us differently.

Specifically ~ God’s method of bringing about “My MS Cure” has been detailed in another of my published ezine articles:

http://ezinearticles.com/?A-Rainbow-Reminder--Series-Article--I-Am-Cured-Of-MS!-Rascal-Shouts-From-The-Rooftop:-CURED!&id=197964

The summary of that published article follows:

"A Rainbow Reminder Series Article "I Am Cured Of MS!" Rascal Shouts From The Rooftop: "CURED"!

God is still in the Curing ~ Deliverance business...LOL. He told me ~ this week ~ that I am cured ~ and I Am ! Yesterday, my 16~yr~old~daughter and I went shopping for computer accessories with which to launch the cyber~space deliverance mission that The Lord has called me too. I Walked ~ using my cane ~ into Radio Shack, spent a good 45 minutes on my feet, then walked to the store next door ~ to spend another hour shopping for other things...LOL... Even my daughter was amazed! She is now an Earth~Angel...LOL [May 15, 2006 11:12:12 am]"

In mid-May ~ the ezine article was published to answer all of the “How did you get cured of MS” questions ~ rather than retell the same true story repeatedly. This is an overdue update after 8-months. Yes, I Am still cured of both MS and one of it's major symptoms that so frustrated me, incontinence. I probably got too active ~ too fast ~ and by allowing an abuse victim to reside with me ~ I took on 5-months of stress. My walking became problimical. Now I Am coming back again fast...LOL. No Stress! Only thankfullness.

While He chose to cure me miraculously, God’s methods are not usually so dramatic. They are ~ none-the less ~ effective. Today, there is one “New Natural Nutritional Supplement” which I have seen reverse many long-term effects of long-time environmental pollution, prescription drugs, and inadequate nutritionally depleted diet. Many researchers agree that these are the true causes of Multiple Sclerosis and most of our other D.D.s (Dread Diseases).

I continue to take this supplement to affect full recovery from the long-term ravages of not having taken care of myself. A foolish man ~ I thought that I was I was invincible.

You are invited to my website where you can get 2 free samples of this awesome product. But 1st, I want to share a story from the Bible which illustrates how God really cures people.

(CEV) 2 Kings 5:1 Naaman was the commander of the Syrian army. The LORD had helped him and his troops defeat their enemies, so the king of Syria respected Naaman very much. Naaman was a brave soldier, but he had leprosy. 2 One day while the Syrian troops were raiding Israel, they captured a girl, and she became a servant of Naaman's wife. 3 Some time later the girl said, "If your husband Naaman would go to the prophet in Samaria, he would be cured of his leprosy."

I Am Skipping To The Major Event.

9 Naaman left with his horses and chariots and stopped at the door of Elisha's house. 10 Elisha sent someone outside to say to him, "Go wash seven times in the Jordan River. Then you'll be completely cured." 11 But Naaman stormed off, grumbling, "Why couldn't he come out and talk to me? I thought for sure he would stand in front of me and pray to the LORD his God, then wave his hand over my skin and cure me. 12 What about the Abana River or the Pharpar River? Those rivers in Damascus are just as good as any river in Israel. I could have washed in them and been cured." 13 His servants went over to him and said, "Sir, if the prophet had told you to do something difficult, you would have done it. So why don't you do what he said? Go wash and be cured." 14 Naaman walked down to the Jordan; he waded out into the water and stooped down in it seven times, just as Elisha had told him. Right away, he was cured, and his skin became as smooth as a child's.

My point is, IF You Do What A Man-Of-God tells you to do… you can be cured of all diseases ~ including MS. I feel led to say, “That if taking a ‘God-given’ supplement strikes you as too simple ~ then you might be missing out on one simple way that God cures His elect of Dread Diseases”!!!

Visit The MS section of my Jesus4You.ws website to read some other ways that many have found to cure their Multiple Sclerosis. I’ve tried most all of them. The Lord has already paid for your cure too. He wants you to be well.

God Bless You!

Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) Review

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are among the most commonly prescribed categories of drugs worldwide in the treatment of pain and inflammation in many conditions.

NSAIDs are used primarily to treat inflammation, mild to moderate pain, and fever. Specific uses include the treatment of headaches, arthritis, sports injuries, and menstrual cramps. Aspirin is used to inhibit the clotting of blood and prevent strokes and heart attacks in individuals at high risk. NSAIDs also are included in many cold and allergy preparations. Two drugs in this category, ibuprofen and naproxen, also reduce fever.

Uses

NSAIDs are usually indicated for the treatment of acute or chronic conditions where pain and inflammation are present. These drugs also are effective in some neuropathic pain syndromes when used with other analgesics. NSAIDs are generally indicated for the symptomatic relief of the following conditions:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Acute gout

  • Inflammatory arthropathies (e.g. ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, Reiter's syndrome)

  • Dysmenorrhoea (painful menstruation)

  • Headache and migraine

  • Postoperative pain

  • Mild-to-moderate pain due to inflammation and tissue injury

  • Back pain and sciatica.

  • Sprains, strains, and rheumatism.

  • Dental pain.

  • Pain from kidney stones (renal colic).

  • To reduce fever

  • Other painful conditions, especially where there is inflammation.

Drugs In The Class

There are several different types of NSAIDs:

  • Salicylates: aspirin (Ascriptin, Bayer, Ecotrin), diflunisal (Dolobid, Diflunisal Tablets), salsalate (Argesic SA, Disalcid, Salflex, Salsitab, Mono Gesic)

  • Arylalkanoic acids: diclofenac (Voltaren, Cataflam), indomethacin (Indocin)

  • 2-Arylpropionic acids (profens): ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil), ketoprofen (Orudis, Oruvail), naproxen (Naprosyn, Alleve), carprofen

  • Pyrroles: ketorolac (Toradol)

  • Enolic acids (oxicams): piroxicam (Feldene), meloxicam (Mobic)

  • Sulphonanilides: nimesulide

  • Napthylalkanones: nabumetone (Relafen)

Mechanism Of Action

NSAIDs work by suppressing the production of fatty acids called prostaglandins that cause inflammation and pain. They do this by blocking the action of an enzyme, cyclooxygenase (COX). This enzyme is responsible for converting precursor acids into prostaglandins.

In the periphery NSAIDs work by decreasing the sensitivity of the nociceptor to painful stimuli induced by heat, trauma, or inflammation. In the central nervous system, they are thought to function as antihyperalgesics and block the increased transmission of repetitive incoming signals to higher centers. In effect, they modulate perception of pain caused by repetitive stimulation from the periphery.

Differences Between NSAIDs

NSAIDs vary in their potency, duration of action, and the way in which they are eliminated from the body. Another important difference is their ability to cause ulcers and promote bleeding. The more an NSAID blocks Cox-1, the greater is its tendency to cause ulcers and promote bleeding.

Choice of NSAID for chronic and disabling inflammatory joint diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis is governed by age, diagnosis, degree of severity, relative gastrointestinal safety, tolerability, and relative efficacy in the given clinical situation. It is a common misconception that all NSAIDs are therapeutically equally efficacious and any one of them could be used for the given indication. Use of multiple NSAIDs should be discouraged. An agent with comparatively less gastrointestinal (GI) side effects like ibuprofen and diclofenac should be preferred in place of indomethacin, piroxicam, or naproxen, which are more gastrotoxic. In conditions where diagnosis is uncertain, the medicine should be empirically chosen and given for a week or so and if the response is adequate it should be continued until side effects mandate its withdrawal. Ankylosing spondylitis responds better to a particular NSAID like indomethacin. It is probably related to its stronger inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.

Aspirin is a unique NSAID, not only because of its many uses, but because it is the only NSAID that is able to inhibit the clotting of blood for a prolonged period (4 to 7 days). This prolonged effect of aspirin makes it an ideal drug for preventing the blood clots that cause heart attacks and strokes. Most other NSAIDs inhibit the clotting of blood for only a few hours.

The major NSAIDs of potency comparable to opioids are diclofenac and ketorolac. Moderate postoperative pain, for example, may be managed using these agents. The overall analgesic effect of 30 mg of ketorolac is equivalent to that of 6 to 12 mg of morphine. Efficacy has been demonstrated for postsurgical pain including oral, orthopedic, gynecologic, and abdominal procedures. Efficacy for acute musculoskeletal pain has also been shown. Ketorolac causes ulcers more frequently than any other NSAID and is, therefore, not used for more than five days.

Naproxen provides effective relief in acute traumatic injury and for acute pain associated with migraine, tension headache, postoperative pain, postpartum pain, pain consequent to various gynecologic procedures, and the pain of dysmenorrhea.

Possible Side Effects

NSAIDs are associated with a number of side effects. The two main adverse drug reactions, associated with NSAIDs relate to gastrointestinal effects and renal effects of the agents. These effects are dose-dependent, and in many cases severe enough to pose the risk of ulcer perforation, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, and death, limiting the use of NSAID therapy.

  • Gastrointestinal adverse reactions. The most common risk of NSAIDs is that they can cause ulcers and other problems in your esophagus, stomach, or small intestine. Common gastrointestinal side effects include: nausea, dyspepsia, vomiting, diarrhea, gastric ulceration/bleeding. Risk of ulceration increases with duration of therapy, and with higher doses. To help protect the stomach, NSAIDs should always be taken with food or directly after a meal.

  • High Blood Pressure and Kidney Damage. NSAIDs reduce the blood flow to the kidneys, which makes them work more slowly. When your kidneys are not working well, fluid builds up in your body. The more fluid in your bloodstream, the higher your blood pressure. If you take NSAIDs in high doses, the reduced blood flow can permanently damage your kidneys.

  • Allergic Reactions. NSAIDs can also cause extreme allergic reactions. People with asthma are at a higher risk for experiencing serious allergic reaction to NSAIDs. Many specialists recommend that people who have asthma stay away from any NSAID, especially if they have sinus problems or nasal polyps.

Use of aspirin in children and teenagers with chicken pox or influenza has been associated with the development of Reyes's syndrome. Therefore, aspirin and nonaspirin salicylates (e.g. salsalate) should not be used in children and teenagers with suspected or confirmed chicken pox or influenza.

Indomethacin, ketoprofen and piroxicam appear to have the highest prevalence of gastrointestinal adverse drug reactions, while ibuprofen (lower doses) and diclofenac appear to have lower rates.

Serious side effects are especially likely with one nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, phenylbutazone. Patients of age 40 and over are especially at risk of side effects from this drug, and the likelihood of serious side effects increases with age.

Precautions And Contraindications

NSAIDs cannot be used in the following cases:

  • Allergy to aspirin or any NSAID

  • Aspirin should not be used under the age of 16 years

  • During pregnancy

  • During breast feeding

  • On blood thinning agents (anticoagulants)

  • Suffering from a defect of the blood clotting system (coagulation)

  • Active peptic ulcer

Cost

Numerous NSAIDs are available as generics: diclofenac, etodolac, fenoprofen, flurbiprofen, ibuprofen, indomethacin, ketoprofen, meclofenamate, naproxen, piroxicam, sulindac, and tolmetin. Only meloxicam (brand name: Mobic), nabumetone (Relafen), and oxaprozin (Daypro) are available by brand name only. Generic medications may be an equally effective and less expensive treatment option.

Conclusions

All NSAIDs are similarly effective. The choice of which NSAID to try first is usually empiric. If one doesn't provide adequate pain control, try switching to another. All NSAIDS when used chronically can be associated with the development of ulcers. Differences in adverse effects seem to exist between different NSAIDs. Follow with your doctor closely and watch for signs or symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding such as stomach pain and blood in the stools. Some NSAIDs are available in extended-release formulations that require less frequent dosing.

Soma, For Exclusive Ethnic Stuff

What you see - After descending the Begumpet flyover, enter the first lane on your right. Nestled at the end of this small lane, Soma is the only store among a bunch of houses here. In fact, this place was also someone's dwelling till about three years back (2003), when it got replaced with this store.

As we entered the gate, a watchman sprung from his seat to show us the way inside. And once indoors, the hundreds of wares, in this neatly done up air-conditioned store left us quite impressed. There is a Jaipuri aura, if you will, that the products here exude - be it in the traditional jootis or the massive range of quilts. It therefore, did not come as a surprise when the store manager told us that they source the products from Jaipur (they have their head office there too).

What you get - This is an all-ethnic store and hand block prints are its specialty. Many of the motifs here seem to have been inspired by nature - flowers, leaves, birds, seashells and the like. As for their product range, it includes home furnishings, crafts, clothing as well as accessories.

It's the accessory section you first encounter here and believe us, their collection of attractive hand bags in brocade (Rs. 800-1,100) could sway you to purchase them. They even have exclusive jewelry pouches (Rs. 248) with separate sections to store your chains, earrings, rings and the like. Then there are luxury hand paper books (Rs. 400), authentic leather jootis as well as slip-ons.

The clothing neatly arranged in the white racks includes kaftans, kimonos and bathrobes. Then there are jackets, scarves, stoles and sarees in cotton, chiffon (Rs. 2,200) and Maheshwari silk (which is a combo of cotton and silk). You can also get crushed long skirts, cholis (blouses) that can be paired with sarees/skirts and lot of nice kurtas with mix and match options.

The kurtas over here come in extra small, small, medium, large and extra large sizes. Prints may differ for varied sizes though. So if you like a certain kurta but it is not in your size you may have to get it altered elsewhere. Soma does not take up alteration services. An interesting product here is the Soma Rider which is a combination of trousers and churidaar. These look quite trendy and are priced at Rs. 354. Kids from new-borns to six-year-olds also have some good cotton clothes to choose from here. Apart from that, do check out the charming hats (Rs. 200-250) and the puny bags that they have for the tiny tots.

Furnishings are another specialty of Soma. They stock up on the entire range of bedroom, living room, dining and kitchen furnishings. Some of the interesting things here include valance for curtains, tea cozies and table cloths (that can even fit 14-seater ones). They also have deck chairs (Rs. 2,500).

Our verdict - Soma has an impressive collection with a lot of variety to choose from; whether it is with respect to the kurtas, the Soma Rider or the home furnishings. The customer support staff comprises three people who have sufficient product knowledge. Parking is not a problem here.

Why It Took 10 Years to Approve Aricept for Use on Severe Alzheimer’s

The Health Daly News reports that Aricept (donepezil hydrochloride) has been approved by the FDA to treat severe dementia associated with Alzheimer’s disease. Although Aricept was approved over 10 years ago to help mild to moderate Alzheimer’s symptoms, it is now the only drug approved to treat all forms of the memory debilitating disease.

The approval was based on studies done in Sweden and Japan that involved over 500 people with severe Alzheimer’s. Aricept was found to perform better than a placebo on tests of cognitive functions including memory, language, and orientation.

If this is the same drug that we have had for the last 10 years, why is it just now being utilized to its full potential? As the FDA stated it is the only drug approved to treat all forms of Alzheimer’s. For the last 10 years Alzheimer’s patience’s with the most severe symptoms have had no help simply because we did not test it till now? Why is that?

Market exclusivity rights granted by the FDA to drug companies run out after 7 years. That means during the seven years when it has the rights, the FDA will not allow any other drug to market itself under the same category, essentially giving in this case Aricept, a monopoly for 7 years. After the exclusivity rights expire, drug companies retest their drug for a slightly different uses, and get another monopoly for 7 more years. Drug companies don’t test all aspects of the drugs simply to extend its patent life in order to make more money.

The research for Aricept was done in Sweden and Japan. The reason that America has to pay so much money for our prescription medication is supposedly because we have to bear the research and development burden for the entire world. If we are paying so much extra for research and development, why is it being done in Sweden and Japan?

The FDA has long protected the interests of the large American drug companies and during the process has hurt a countless number of individuals along the way. They wait to approve drugs that would have helped millions of people, and also allow drug companies to charge so much for their “new and improved” drugs that many are forced to go without help. If you need medication but can’t afford the high prices created by the American pharmacies go to PremierMexicanPharmacies.com PMP is a database of Canadian and Mexican pharmacies that allow you to search for the lowest price on your prescription medication saving anywhere from 30 to 70 percent. Visit this Consumer Advocacy website for more information on ordering from Mexican pharmacies.

Top 4 Diabetes Medications

These days, a variety of medicines are available to treat diabetes. When individuals find themselves diagnosed with Type II diabetes, they are generally given one or more of these medications, rather than insulin. Often, multiple drugs are used, rather than just one. The purpose of the medicines is to enable the body to make more insulin on its own, thereby allowing your body to process the blood sugar it needs to eliminate without putting your blood sugar levels out of balance.

Sulfonylureas are one of the most well respected drugs used to treat diabetes. There are several different types of this medication on the market, the most popular being Glucotrol. These drugs work by increasing the amount of insulin released from the pancreas. These medicines work well in lowering blood sugar levels but also run the risk of a person developing hypoglycemia.

Hypoglycemia occurs when your blood sugar level is too low. Because of this potentially dangerous side effect, sulfonylureas are often given with other medicines, most notably Glucophage, or more commonly known as Metformin. This drug works well with Glucotrol as it reduces the amount of blood sugar in the liver while the Glucotrol increases the amount of insulin in the pancreas. Both medications must be taken prior to meals. Most people who are first diagnosed with Type II diabetes are given this combination of medicines which, when taken as directed, are effective at maintaining a healthy blood sugar level.

Another drug that is showing promise in working well with Metformin is Prandin. Prandin also lowers blood sugar levels but at a slower rate than Metformin and has shown good results in studies. Like Glucotrol, Prandin increases the amount of insulin in the body and can also cause hypoglycemia. It is very important for a patient with diabetes to work with their doctor to get the right dosage of each medication and never double a dosage or cut one in half. Prandin cannot be used in women who are pregnant or nursing children.

Many of those with Type II diabetes will find that their doctors prescribe the new medication Starlix to treat their disease. Although Starlix works in a way that's similar to Prandin, people take the same dosage over time, rather than needing to adjust the doses as they would with Prandin. This fact, plus the fact that Starlix does not put the kidneys at risk, make it an extremely popular and promising new option on the diabetes medication market.

While most medicines that treat diabetics increase insulin developed in the pancreas and decrease the sugar in the liver, newer drugs are being marketed that decrease the absorption of carbohydrates in the intestines. Precose did remarkably well in trial studies in breaking down the carbohydrates in the system, making it easier to eliminate. However, this medication has not done as well as the sulfonlureas, which are considered the best possible medicines that treat the disease at this time. However, for those who are allergic to sulfur, Precose is a good option.

A diagnosis of Type II diabetes may be frightening for an individual, but there are many different drugs available that can keep this disease at bay. It is very important, however, for a patient to be totally compliant in order for these medicines to work effectively. It may take increased dosages, lowered dosages or different combinations of medications in order to get the right balance to help you maintain a healthy blood sugar level. This is why it is so important for an individual to carefully monitor their levels throughout the day and keep a record for the physician.

You and your doctor, working together, can normalize your blood sugar levels and control your condition. To play your role in this teamwork, you must monitor your sugar and report the results, in addition to any symptoms you experience, to your doctor regularly. Doing this puts you, rather than your diabetes, in the driver's seat of your body and your life.

Read This Report if You Are Considering Medication to Treat Your ...

Cardizem is a medication used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), angina (chest pain), and certain heart rhythm disorders. Cardizem is a calcium channel blocker. It works by relaxing the muscles of your heart and blood vessels allowing blood to pass more freely thereby reducing blood pressure.

It should be taken whole, never crushed or chewed, and should be taken at the same time every day with a full glass of water. You should not stop taking Cardizem suddenly as it may make your condition worse. Even if you feel well do not stop taking it unless directed to do so by your doctor.

If you are pregnant do not take Cardizem as it can cause harm to your unborn child. This is excreted in breast milk, therefore nursing mothers are encouraged to not use Cardizem.

As with any prescription medications, side effects may occur. It can effect your thinking and reactions, therefore do not drive or do anything that requires you to be alert until you see how you react to Cardizem. Make sure to tell your doctor of any other medications you are taking including non-prescription medications and herbal supplements. if you are allergic to any drugs be sure to let your doctor know. It is very important that your doctor know of any medical conditions that you have including kidney disease, liver disease, or congestive heart failure as it may not be the best choice for you.

While on Cardizem treatment your blood pressure will need to be monitored on a regular basis. Your doctor may adjust your dosage of it depending on these results. Your doctor may also recommend kidney and liver function testing while on or before prescribing Cardizem. This may be the right choice for treating your hypertension but remember only you and your doctor can determine if Cardizem is right for you.

High Blood Pressure Medication - What You Need To Know

You may have heard of the drug Altace and its main purpose of cutting the risk of heart failure. Well Altace medication also improves the chances of leading a normal life even for someone who has suffered a heart attack. The drug is part of the ACE inhibitors (angiotensin converting enzymes) family of medications.

What health conditions are incompatible with Altace medication?

We ought to start here by recommending to you that if you have any other medical condition or have had in the past, you should discuss these details in your consultation with your doctor before commencing with the treatment. You can find information in many places on the internet but only a doctor is able to give the right medical advice and treatment administration that best suits your situation including how to combine Alatace medication with other drugs you are taking.

You may not know that Altace medication is also known as Ramipril. The drug ought not to be taken by a sufferer of diabetes and live dysfunction due to the possible side effects that can occur with it. Additionally, patients who now or have had any kind of kidney disease, or who are currently on dialysis are recommended to not use Altace medication.

Adjustments to dosage can sometimes be required for those patients taking prescribed drugs for rheumatoid arthritis of scleroderma in combination with those administering the Altace medication. Your doctor whilst you are taking the treatment may want to check for stability of your overall health condition by use of medical tests.

Administration details

Most other drugs designed to improve high blood pressure should not be taken with food but the Altace medication is different. The dosage advised to be taken by the doctor can be taken during or between meals.

That being said it is important to drink plenty of liquid whilst taking the treatment as the active compounds in the drug cause dehydration

If you don't drink sufficient quantities of liquid during your course of Altace medication, consequences could be severe; kidney failure, electrolyte disorder or low blood pressure are the more serious conditions caused with diarrhea and vomiting also being possibilities

It is important for close monitoring of the blood pressure levels to be carried out whilst taking Altace medication as the doctor will want to chart the progress of the treatment to see its effectiveness on the blood pressure.

But the worst thing you can do when taking the Altace medication is to drink alcohol in combination; alcohol is known to reduce blood pressure, so your blood pressure could suddenly drop to dangerous levels causing dire consequences. So of course alcoholic beverages are banned during a course of Altace treatment.

You are probably aware of how Altace medication is continuing to be effective when used to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attacks. It can also help those who have suffered a heart attack in the past live a normal life. As with any prescription medication, care should be taken while administering Altace but as a treatment for high blood pressure you should find it sufficiently effective.

How to Enlarge Your Penis Using Penis Extender

What is a penis extender?

It is a lightweight medical device, which is worn on your penis while in flaccid state. It contains adjustment screws, which allow you to gradually increase its length thus increasing the stretching effect it has on your penis. To achieve meaningful results, it should be worn for about 5-8 hours a day turning the adjustment screws according to the penis enlargement program schedule.

How it works?

Although penis extender is a relatively new invention, the principle behind this device has been known to human for thousands of years. This principle says that human body is designed to adapt to the environment. For example, in order to build big and strong muscles, people commonly lift weights. Lungs of professional athletes are much more powerful than yours or mine. Naturally, penis responds to traction the same way any other part of the human body does. The traction device gradually stretches and lengthens the penis, which causes its cells to grow effectively making it larger.

Is it better than other penis enlargement options?

Penis extenders provide a combination of safety and effectiveness that no other method can match. Penis surgery is effective but very dangerous (and expensive too!) Weights and pumps can provide some results, but they are also dangerous and can cause permanent damage to the tissues of your penis. Penis enlargement pills are safe but, alas, no pill can increase your, although they can be taken as a supplement to your regular penis exercise routine.

In contrast, penis extenders underwent extensive medical testing and were clinically proven to be safe and effective.

What gains can you expect?

As I already said, in order to achieve gains in your girth and length, you must wear the extender for 5-8 hours a day. If you adhere to this exercise routine (this may be difficult if the device you use is not comfortable, so make sure you purchase a model with a comfort strap.) the typical gain in length is 1-1.5 inches in the first three months. If you continue to perform stretching exercises for three more months, you can expect to gain 0.5-1 more inches. The total exercising period is usually three or six months total depending on how quickly you achieve your size goal. After that, you don't have to continue wearing the extender to maintain your new size -- the gains are permanent.

Seroquel Side Effects: Effects of Seroquel Worth the Risk?

Seroquel is an atypical antipsychotic drug that is used to treat hallucinations, delusions and confusion caused by psychotic conditions such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Atypical antipsychotics are not SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) or benzodiazepines. Atypical antipsychotics like Seroquel affect only certain parts of the brain, blocking the input of serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, histamine, and muscarine. The benefit to atypical antipsychotics is that they are non-habit forming and are not as frequently abused as normal antipsychotics.

Some less serious side effects of Seroquel are dizziness, drowsiness, agitation, constipation, dry mouth and weight gain. More serious side effects are allergic reactions that are revealed through breathing problems, swelling of throat, lips, tongue or face, and hives. Other effects are spastic movements of limbs and face or fever, muscle rigidity or irregular heartbeats. However, serious side effects of Seroquel include pancreatitis, hyperclycemia, stroke and being three times as likely to develop type 2 diabetes.

Also, some patients on Seroquel have developed Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (NMS). While the mortality rate for those with NMS has decreased, it is still a serious condition that results in respiratory failure, cardiovascular collapse, myglobinuric renal failure, arrhythmias, rhabdomyolysis, pneumonia, seizures or diffuse intravascular coagulation.

Furthermore, AstraZeneca, the manufacturer of Seroquel, has been charged with promoting the drug for off label use that violated FDA restrictions.

If you or a family member has been affected by Seroquel, you may be entitled to pursue a lawsuit against AstraZeneca. Attorneys are currently pursuing class action lawsuits to establish a fund for those affected by Seroquel.

Color Cancer: Vegetable-state Terminal Cancer Brought Back to Life ...

Poh is a 54-year old female. She had a 14 cm tumour in her distal sigmoid colon. She underwent surgery. The cancer was staged as Duke’s C. About two weeks after surgery, Poh underwent twenty-five times of radiation treatment and at the same time took the oral chemo-drug, Xeloda. Within a week after being on Xeloda, Poh became uncomfortable, her heart beat rapidly and she had difficulty breathing. The doctor stopped her Xeloda and replaced it with UFT. Before Poh could even finish a course of UFT, her legs started to weaken and her entire person lost strength. She could not walk and had to be confined to the wheelchair.

MRI of her brain did not show any evidence of metastasis. There were, however, disc bulges at C5/C6, L3/L4, L4/L5 and L5/S1. This was diagnosed as lumbar spondylosis.

Poh’s husband and son came to seek our help on 4 November 2005. Tears welled up in his eyes as he related his wife’s story. He said: “After the surgery, my wife was alright. She was normal -- could walk around perfectly, could eat and do the normal chores in the house. It was only after she started radiotherapy and took the oral chemo-drugs that her condition deteriorated. This happened within about two months after the surgery. Everybody I asked told me to do all these.”

Poh was indeed in bad shape. She was put on morphine and had to lie in bed unable to move by herself. If she gets up, she will feel breathless. At one time, she had to be admitted into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for twelve days. The family spent about RM 50,000 for her treatment. With anger and frustration her husband said: “I spent money is okay, but how could she end up like this?”

Poh was then a living vegetable.

After one week on the herbs, Poh was able to wake up from her bed and walked ten steps with the help of her husband! Her daughter said she was thrilled when she was able to stand up. Her case was not be hopeless after all. On 3 February 2006, i.e., three months on the herbs, Poh was able to walk into our centre! As of this writing (a year after being on herbs) Poh is doing fine. She leads a normal, pain-free life.

Story extracted from the author’s book: Getting It Right.

Two Types Of Dermatitis

DIAPER DERMATITIS

Definition:

Diaper dermatitis or diaper rash is an irritation of the skin covering the groin, lower stomach, upper thighs and buttocks. This condition is seen more commonly in infants and early childhood prior to 2 years of age. Diaper dermatitis usually occurs between one and two months of age and may continue until the child no longer wears diapers

Symptoms:

The symptoms of diaper dermatitis vary depending on the cause of the dermatitis, and may be different for each child that is affected. The following are common characteristics of the rash that may occur with each type of infection:

1. candida diaper dermatitis - this rash usually begins in the creases or folds of the thighs and in the diaper area, and then spreads. The rash is usually a deep, red, shiny rash with red, satellite lesions.

2. seborrheic diaper dermatitis - this rash also affects the skin folds in the groin area and is usually pink. Infants may also have this rash on their face, scalp, or neck at the same time.

3. contact diaper dermatitis - this rash is mostly seen on the buttocks and may extend to the thighs, stomach, and waist area

Causes:

1. We all have a natural protective film of oil on our skin. If this oil is removed the skin becomes red, irritated, cracked and inflamed. When a person's skin is exposed to urine or feces for prolonged periods, the natural skin oil is removed causing diaper dermatitis.

2. After the skin becomes red and inflamed, the skin becomes predisposed to infection. Both bacteria and yeast can infect the inflamed cracked skin

Prevention:

1. The best treatment for diaper dermatitis is to prevent it from starting. Using absorbent disposable diapers easiest does this. These do not allow urine to come into contact with the skin. Modern absorbent disposable diapers can hold large amounts of urine and keep it away from the skin.

2. If you plan to use reusable diapers, they must be changed each time after they become wet or every one to two hours.

Treatment:

1.Keep the diaper area as dry as possible by using absorbent disposable diapers or by frequent changes of conventional diapers. Triple paste is an ointment that can be applied to the diapered area with every diaper change.

2.Lotrimin cream can be used for diaper rash and can be purchased without a prescription. Do not use a medication named Lotrisone, even if given to you by your doctor. This medication can do irreversible harm if applied to the groin area of a child.

Foot dermatitis: it can turn your attention to a major foot care:

This problem can affect the feet entirely as it causes a serious disorder to skin of the feet. It can be caused by excessive dry skin that is a result of excessive bathing, hand washing, sweating or swimming. If one is into an excessive contact of cosmetics, detergents or deodorants or cleansers then there can be a problem excessive dryness of the skin again leading to dermatitis. An exposure to high humidity can also affect the skin as it can result into skin exfoliation. In some cases it was found that consumption of tobacco and smoking were also causes of this problem. Wearing some specific type of footwear can also be a cause for this problem. In extreme temperatures this problem becomes more obvious.

Where does it affect?

If the problem is related to sole then there are yellow patches with a red base that can cause an itchy peeling of the skin that can last for several months. If front part of foot is affected then there is a red itchy scaly eruption with other problems like vesicles and crusting of the feet. If the entire foot is affected then it is observed that there are multiple red papules on the foot. In some cases this problem can occur with very small children and it can make them too sensitive to everything. It was observed that some children have developed fever and hypertension resulting into mucus in membranes. There is an entire description of regulation of fluid in the body. In some cases the spread of infection till the legs it can lead to purple and brown plaques in the feet and legs. In the case of occurrence of nodules surgery is advised but it is seen that the problem may reoccur in patients.

How to get rid of this problem?

Even if there is a little insignificant rash on the feet then it should be considered because it can lead to foot dermatitis at anytime. If one is detected with the problem then it should begin with the appropriate ointments suggested by the physician. Appropriate type of lubricants should be used so that the moisture content in the feet is maintained. In some severe cases doctors advice the patients with an oral dosage of medicines so that dryness can be removed from within.

Vintage Shiny Brite Christmas Ornaments - Max Eckardt's Shiny ...

An American businessman named Max Eckardt introduced Christmas tree decorations imported from Germany to the US around 1907. The ornaments consisted mostly of small hand-blown glass balls that were colorfully decorated. Late in the 1930s though, it was plain to Eckardt that the oncoming war was going to disrupt his supplies. So he made a business arrangement with the Corning Glass Company that got them started on Christmas ornament production in their light bulb plants. Corning started making the glass ornaments after adapting their own light bulb manufacturing process and proceeded to ship ornaments to both Woolworth's stores and to Eckardt's factories where the plain ornaments could be further adorned by hand after being machine-lacquered.

As the wartime shortages increased, making both lacquer and silver difficult to come by, Eckardt started having the ornaments decorated in pastels and bright colors. As a result, Shiny Brite ornaments became very popular because of their uniqueness and soon become a staple of every family's Christmas trees. By the end of the war, Shiny Brite was the largest manufacturer of Christmas ornaments in the world and the popularity of the ornaments raged on into the 1950s.

Shiny Brite stopped making and selling the glass balls in 1962 because of production disruption and because of the changing business landscape and moved into the production of plastic ornaments, which never proved to be as popular. But now that we are in the 21st century, demand for the original vintage glass ornaments has shot up and you'll find many "Shiny Brite" ornaments all over Ebay.

One thing to keep in mind though when shopping on Ebay for these ornaments is that many sellers and buyers seem to think that "Shiny Brite" refers to a type of ornament rather than a specific brand name. So if you are looking specifically for ornaments made by Max Eckardt's company, you might want to do a little digging into the auctions.

In addition to the vintage Shiny Brite Christmas ornaments available at antique shops, flea markets and online, Christopher Radko started making reproductions of the ornaments around 2001 and you'll find those on Ebay as well. Generally though you don't have to worry about the Radko reproductions being passed off as the vintage ornaments because Radko's ornaments are collectible in their own right. Also, Radko's ornaments are made in Europe and all of the original Shiny Brite's were of American manufacture.
